Tomato & Blue Cheese Tart...
World cup has officially started! I am not a football fan but when it comes to the world cup, funnily enough, I will follow the news and updates through out this best ever game that only happens once in every 4 years! I was anticipating for the world cup opening but I didn’t get to watch. However, I make sure that I don’t miss the 2nd game of the day, France vs Uruguay. During this world cup season, I...
Greek Salad (Salade Grecque)
Greek Salad (Salade Grecque)...
Even though I had pretty busy schedule last week, that didn’t deter me from spending time in the kitchen to prepare simple and healthy dinner. I never bought prepared meals from the supermarket, except for pizza, Korean/Japanese instant noodles(from time to time when I really can’t be bothered!) and fresh pastas. If I could, I always like to cook from scratch! I didn’t expect late summer sunshine...
Thai Stir-Fry Chicken with Cashew Nuts
Thai Stir-Fry Chicken with Cashew Nuts...
Thai food is full of flavours and it’s a cuisine that I am familiar with. We get a lot of influence from Thai cooking, especially Southern Thai as there’s a small Thai community in my hometown. So, Thai food is always very easy to get hold with! I previously cooked Garlic & Coriander Chicken, which is a very simple dish but full of flavours! This dish is pretty common in my hometown. There’s...
8 Prizes to Win: Healthy Breakfast
8 Prizes to Win: Healthy Breakfast...
“Never skip your breakfast!” That’s what mom says all the time. Even if it’s just a hot drink with a slice of bread, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Breakfast literally means breaking fast, indicating the end of the fast of the previous night. Eating breakfast reduces hunger later in the day, making it easier to avoid overeating. If you skip breakfast, this prolongs fasting...

Summer Recipe: Asian Chicken Burger...
I picked up the phone and was overjoyed when the DHL guy told me that there was a package for me. I had arranged the item to be delivered the next day. Firstly, it was because I wanted claim a few free items before the closing date. Secondly, I had finally made up my mind to purchase it as a gift to myself. (Oh, I love presents!!) Summer Recipe: Cherry Tomato & Zucchini Tart
Summer Recipe: Cherry Tomato & Zucchini Tart...
I know that I am no master in baking but I have been hoping to bake more when I got more time. When comes to pastries, I only started to make savoury ones in recent years. I made quiches/tarts a while ago, like Spinach & Blue Cheese Tart and Cheese & Onion Quiche. They both were really nice and I like to make tarts for lunch from time to time as they are pretty simple and quick to prepare.   Last weekend,...

It’s just too difficult...
Soba Noodle & Five-Spice Pork Salad
Soba Noodle & Five-Spice Pork Salad...
Soba (??) is Japanese noodles made of buckwheat flour. There are 2 ways of serving soba, it’s either chilled with dipping sauce, or in dashi broth as noodle soup. I think I particularly like cold shoba that is served with dipping sauce known as soba tsuyu on the side. Tsuyu is made of a mixture of dashi, sweetened soya sauce and mirin.   I made soba noodle salad & five-spice pork salad for my lunchbox....
