		<description>I  prefer the Kedah Assam Laksa than Penang Assam Laksa. 
There was an old Malay man who cycled to our village to sell this addictive dish, back in the 60&#039;s. 
Besides tamarind, he also used asam gelugul in his soup.  Asam Gelugul give the Laksa Kedah a clean, sharper sour taste, and it is not meant to be think. 
 
What is Tamarind peel? is this the shell of the tamarin pulp?  The tamarind looks like a legume. </description>
