tigerfish,
The Gewürztraminer that you mentioned sounds nice! I haven't tried anything like that! I will try to find out! Thanks for the info!

limpepsi,
I am learning this too! It's such a specialised knowledge I think. Pairing Asian food with wine is really an area to explore :)

Fearless kitchen,
I am glad you find this informative!!

One of the better Gewürztraminer I'm tried is from Alsace,France. With nice lychee flavors. So good.

Had it in a Chinese wedding. ;p

Tartelette,
I think it's great too! :)

lk,
I don't know not too much about wine but really keen to learn more about it!! Maybe you should try to cook this classic French dish - Coq au Vin. Cos it uses quite a bit of red wine. As the weather is getting colder here, it's definitely an idea for me to cook this yummy classic dish too.. :)
I will one day try to pair red wine (cos I love red wine) with a typical chinese dish.

Gertrude,
Neither do I. Definitely an area to explore.. :)

Michael,
Thanks!

Claire,
Thank you!!

beachloverkitchen,
I have something new too!! As I mentioned to lk, I will try to pair my favourite red wine with a typical chinese dish one day.

To me, my hubby is considered "an expert" in wine. But he has stopped drinking wine because of health problems. Since I started to cook western food, he tried to "hint" me to use wine in my cooking. Hehehe! Tks for sharing such a wonderful Asian recipe that pairs well with wine. ;)
