Camry,
Free range is a method of farming husbandry where the animals are allowed to roam freely instead of being contained in any manner.
The normal chickens that are not free range, so-called industrial chickens are the ones that are kept in the barns all the time and never seen daylight and not allowed to roam freely.

Kate,
Thank you!
I reckon the local chicken is the equivalent of free range here. Back in Malaysia, my mom buys from local chicken from the farmers and they are absolutely delicious!!

Tartelette,
Totally agree with you. Thanks for dropping by!

You're right free range chicken is so much flavorful, moist and tender! I am willing to pay the couple of extra $ for it. It is worth it! Lovely roasted chicken!

first of all the wedding pictures down there look very nice ! As for the free range chicken, i have honestly not bought one yet. I have however bought local chicken frm farmers who raise them on thier farns so i think that would qualify. I'm in Africa so i guess getting them in supermarkets is outta question.

Beachlover,
Is there no way at all to get free range chicken in NY? It's try that it tastes better and the flesh is firmer and less fat!

Rasa Malaysia,
Malaysia kampung chicken is obviously better but there's no way to get in this part of the world. :( At home we use kampung chicken :)
