[Christine] I have to agree that it's really difficult to juggle between hosting and socialising, I am still improving on this. Everything has to be well thought through. Definitely! As long as everyone has a great evening with good food, what else could be better? :)

[Scott] Cool stuff! I love roasts and oven does the magic! After I've watched the program, I don't see why a little extra for Free Range matters :)

I always go for something I can just heat up if I'm doing a dinner party, like soup or casserole (or both). Of course a salad works well too, because you can do it well in advance. Oh! And anything roasted. Roasts are great because generally it all just goes in the oven :)

Great to hear about you going Free Range - I wholly support this.

I appreciate all your tips, very helpful indeed. I think it was a realistic statement about not always being able to balance between hosting and socializing. But in the end, everyone's happy and that's what's important, right?
